The Beauty of Mexico Beaches
I would like to take this time to personally thank the country of Mexico. If it wasn’t for Mexico, I don’t think I would have the travel bug as bad as I do right now. I would probably also have to thank my buddy who came with me and all the amazing people I met there in such a short time, but it was Mexico that started it all.
My Mexico travel story starts about 12 years ago. 2 years after my first trip to Hawaii. Hawaii was amazing and all but it didn’t give me the bug. Maybe I was just too young to appreciate it at the time. I was also with my parents so that may have had something to do with it. Buy anyways, I remember being in Mexico all inclusive and drinking my face off. Having the time of our lives! Our bartender Bruno, instead of him asking us what we would like, it was “How many, amigos?” lol. We would go up with a tray and carry 5 tequila sunrises each to either our room before we would head out for the night or if we were just lounging by the pool or on the beach. Wherever we went, we had many, many tequila sunrises with us.
The sun, the sand, the drinks… all amazing but what I really think made me catch the bug was, the people I met. I met so many amazing people in such a short time. I started to wonder, If I can meet this many amazing people in a week, how many can I meet in 52 weeks? It was that exact moment for me, I was infected with the travel bug. 12 years later, I still have it and BAD! Funny, my buddy who came with me, never got it. Since then, he hasn’t left his little boring home town and me, I’ve been to 20 other countries since then. I feel sorry for him. Us both now 32, I’ve seen a pretty good portion (still haven’t seen as much as I would like) of this beautiful planet of ours and he’s just rotting away. Complaining how he can’t meet anyone. I just shake my head every time he complains about stupid crap.
I thought over time the travel bug would die out as I got older, but to tell you the truth, I think it’s just spread more! As of right now, I am planning a huge around the world trip, which unfortunately won’t start till next year as I will need to save A LOT OF MONEY, but at least the dream is there and it gives me something to really look forward to.
To sum it up, I’m 32, broke, don’t own anything but when I sit around with friends and people… I sure do have some pretty good stories to tell =)
ps. GO TRAVEL!!!
