Travel Distances In Europe
What was I thinking in the Cup?
I think FIFA leg to put this tournament on a place that is too far from all football lovers regions with the fans who can afford travel moderate distances. If the South African population could fill the seats so I could have done worthwhile. But it hurts me to see empty seats (premium seats also I might add) and legions of football fans love that could fill in places like Europe, America North and South America. FIFA screwed here. An event this large, should not have empty seats. This is what is politcally correct to suffer.
If FIFA fucked increasing. And now no turning back. The decision was taken by South Africa to host the WC was by a vote victory over Turkey and Morocco. I would say that many more people have been filling the seats if the WC was held there. Turks are rich and their country is a little more than half in terms of global finance and have allot of banks. South Africa, who know their deal, poor countries and poor economy. Therefore, not surprisingly, the seats would empty. In fact, no assigned seats were empty. The only good news is that SA is a poor nation suffering from many problems, the toilet can help raise this problem in their nation. There will be money to host the FIFA WC. Also they are making money are selling tickets. But yes, I agree 100% with you, if in NA or SA or any country in Europe that the game had been more exciting and less people leaving their posts as soon as their host country not in the cup the world. As the match with Uruguay and SA, where many people left just after the second goal. Do not disappoint me. And I know that none of the Africans even approach to the final. Tony M
