Patients beyond borders Josef Woodman, author of reacting CISTM 2009 Plenary Session

Josef Woodman, President and Director General of Health the travel media, has been selected to be presented expert panelist at the 11 th Conference of the International Society of Travel Medicine (CISTM). The conference, which, historically, with a maximum of 2,000 delegates from 50 countries will take place in Budapest, Hungary, 24-28 May 2009. Plenary sessions during the 4 day event will highlight the problems of global health and medical tourism, with noted speakers and industry leaders worldwide.

Woodman plenary, entitled "globalized Health and Medical Tourism: Definition, scope, impact, and the players" is scheduled for Monday, May 25 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Woodman addressing new trends in medical tourism in relation to health in relation to globalization, including issues insurance related emerging and employers liability and negligence, the metric of quality assurance, continuity of care, and telemedicine.

The co-founder MyDailyHealth and Communications of Ventana, a pioneering background in health, welfare and Web technology, Woodman has compiled a wealth of information about Global travel health, telemedicine, and new developments in the consumer and institutional care. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Global Health Summit, and as Program Co-Chair of the World Health Congress 2009. He has taught at the Harvard Medical School and School of Public Health at UCLA. Woodman has become a health advocate global consumer and travel health.
