Cinco De Mayo - Tequila, Mariachis, Chiles, Oh My!

Cinco de Mayo is one of the most famous Mexican holiday in the United States, where many U.S. companies and restaurants are decorated in green, white and red, the colors of the flag of Mexico, to observe this day so important in traditional Mexican fanfare. HISTORY
After the devastating loss of Mexican-American War in 1848, Mexico was both economically and morally defeated. Albuquerque (New Mexico): May 5 - The capital of New Mexico, Albuquerque, will host a Cinco de Mayo with the Ballet Folklorico. This group of Mexican state of Nayarit, presents a wealth of artistic tradition Nayarit and throughout the Mexican republic.

Denver (Colorado): May 5-6 - Considered the largest Cinco de Mayo Festival in the United States, the Denver festival is the maximum. Now in its 19 th year, festivities include the celebration of freedom and culture, Denverites enjoy six stages of live entertainment, dancing, food and crafts at Civic Center Park. In addition, the celebration includes a special concert with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra among others, on May 4 and Cinco de Mayo Civil Rights Award event held (date be confirmed).

EL PASO (Texas): May 5 - The "Taste of the Border" party with mariachis, margaritas, tequila and a mole extravaganza begins at 3:00 and into the early hours of the night.

LITTLE ROCK (Arkansas): May 6 - Organized by the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), this ninth annual Cinco de Mayo festival is held at the River Market Pavilion in downtown Little Rock. Miss Cinco de Mayo will be crowned at this event all day.

New Brunswick (New Jersey): May 5 - With a variety of Mexican food and musical talent is the Cinco de Mayo Festival in New Jersey, with the support of Mexico in American Joyce Kilmer Park.

NEW YORK (New York): May 6 - Organized by the Committee on House Homeland Fiestas Puebla del Cinco de Mayo Festival in Queens. From 10 to 6 on Sunday there will be a variety of musical talent, food and crafts in Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

Oakland (California): May 5 - This traditional celebration had more than 100,000 attendees last year, Cinco de Mayo Fruitvale Festival & Parade, located in the Fruitvale district in Oakland. The family festival will feature stages of entertainment, vendors of more than 200 activities for children and arts and crafts.

Portland (Oregon): May 3-6 - Portland Cinco de Mayo Fiesta is a family oriented event full of fun with four stages of entertainment, delightful activities for children, artisans and vendors of U.S., Canada and Mexico. Visitors can also enjoy the Third Annual Festival del Mariachi, folkloric ballet and delicious food from some of the best restaurants in the Northwest.

ST. Paul (Minnesota): May 4-5 - Festivities include salsa tasting contest, children's area, sports zone, craft vendors, a parade, an area of history and live music and entertainment, it offers a variety of Hispanic / Latino dancers, actors and musicians.

SAN ANTONIO (Texas): 4 May-6 - San Antonio is based around 30,000 to its festivities with food booths at its historic Market Square, street dancing, crafts, concerts and other commemorations. Each of mariachis and folkloric dancers and Tejano groups set provide plenty of entertainment.

San Diego (California): May 5-6 - Visitors can enjoy a weekend of festivities including outdoor entertainment with over 200 artists in eight venues, also over 100 craft booths and a special Mexican holiday that offers a delicious variety of cuisine.
