Now that Americans have a travel alert and all of Western Europe is on alert as well, can you believe?
Two former Homeland Security agents, ex Bush people, interviewed Saturday night on CNN said the travel warnings are bogus, totally inappropriate for the Obama administration to issue, as he's just trying to frighten Americans.
It astounds me that Republicans would take a potential threat and say it's bogus, just for the sake of politics and would suggest our government not say anything, in the hope an attack happens and people die, so they can blame the Obama administration for not being vigilant enough.
I asked a question right after I heard the interview and was pretty much told I was lying.
When do these people get what's coming to them?

Travelers should be warned of the possibility of an attack similar to the Mumbai attack . The primary target was tourists. Encouraging American tourists (UK issued a warning for British travelers, too) to be vigilant and take precautions regarding their personal safety is the ethical thing to do. The key word here is "ethical" thing to do. Second guessing the efficacy of the report could end up costing lives. Former Bush Homeland Security agents? They did a hell of a job with 9/11. There's a new sheriff in town!
