Travel is something very dear to my heart and I've often felt that I have a bit of gypsy in my blood as I wander around the world and while there is no set way to travel that suits all people and all tastes, the reality is that most people are infected to one degree or another by the travel bug. Indeed there seems to be a massive number of people who chose a year or two of travel between settling into a career and after finishing their studies, and of course there is the retirement group who set off on long distances for protracted periods of time after completing their working lives so as to enjoy what the whole world has to offer.

Making travel arrangements is never an easy task simply because we rarely know about the possibilities of destinations until after we have been there, and so to decide where and when to go somewhere, the Internet has proven to be a wonderful resource where we can read about the experiences of others and to read about recommendations of seasonal things that can make any destination more exciting - perhaps for cultural event reasons or because the weather is more forgiving.

Europe is perhaps my second last frontier, though I am not sure whether to do it before or after the South American countries - with both continents providing and promising exciting adventures and cultural exchanges I have not yet enjoyed.
