Helpful tips for traveling with a husky puppy?

I am going on vacation and turns out my aunt can't take of him as she is starting a new job so we are going to take him with us. We are going to myrtle beach south carolina for 3 weeks and we are driving, 2 days, 10 hrs each day with a stopover in winchester virginia. It is very hot in myrtle beach so i will walk him early morning and late at night when it cools down. We are in an air conditioned condo where he will most likely rest during the day in the cool. he's a great traveller and sleeps and i will feed him on the road when we stop and let him do his business at rest areas. Are there any tips or suggestions while traveling and while we are there, as I want to make sure he will be safe? thanks!

bring a dog brush or shedding blade and brush him a lot so he doesn't get too hot. also bring a dog travel water bowl and lots of clean water. measure out his food to make sure you packed enough. bring some toys and bones to chew while you're in the car or away from him. when in the car, every 3 hours stop to let him do his business. if he needs to stop in less than 3 hours, then stop. bring a blanket or dog towel for him to sleep on. also bring paper towels and cleaner just in case of a mess and lots of dog bags for clean up outside. don't feed him too much on the road because he could get car sick. also don't leave him alone for too long while you're vacationing. good luck.
