Travel Delays Heathrow Airport
Delayed baggage at London Heathrow - I arrived Monday and haven't had it yet - Friday?
I'm at my wits end. I arrived at LHR Monday evening from Casablanca via Madrid, we flew Iberia. We were told our bags would be on a later flight so they'd send them on to us. I rang Tues, as they hadn't arrived, & gave a different address as we weren't at home during the day from Weds onwards, as we were back at work. I rang Weds as we hadn't had them and they said they'd tried to deliver to our home address - the one i'd told them we wouldn't be at from Weds! I then gave them another address - my work - which i could guarantee i would be at, but didn't receive them yesterday so I rang this morning and they said they can't do anything, they can only send messages to the airport. Comms are difficult because they are Spanish, they don't ring me back, they don't say we will make sure you get them today, they don't do anything. It is absolutely disgraceful service but i honestly don't know what to do now. I have travel insurance so i will ring them, but i want my baggage!
We had same problem this year Heathrow - Manchester. Ended up going back (as getting nowhere on the phone) to airport and asking them to go and look for it in baggage reclaim. Don't forget to complain in writing to the airline. We wrote to BA and got £200 even though we got our bag the next day. Good luck.
