Travel Form Or Mount
I am seeking information on a Brazilian Watercolor artist from the 1940's possibly named Koettlez or similar.
I have inherited two very nice watercolors (about 10x8) that I believe were purchased in Brazil in the 1940's in Rio. They are of city landscapes with mountain backgrounds. One looks like it may have been painted with Sugarloaf in the background. The signature is hard to read, but looks like Koe(or ae)ttle(with a z left unattached) to form KOETTLEZ. They are mounted and framed and I hate to open them to see if there is any additional information on the back of the paintings or on the mounting papers. There is a small chance that they were purchaced in Chile. My mother was traveling in both countries during this period. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
