Travel insurance for working abroad in Canada?
Hello, I am working abroad in Canada for a year. Unfortunately I need travel insurance which they quote at £430! It needs to be for the whole year not multi-travel i.e not leaving every 30 days etc. I looked at direct line and got it down to £239 but it still seems slightly expensive. Does anyone know of a reputable company that is cheaper than that? Your help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance
I don't know why you think it would be cheaper than that - it has to include medical cover and repatriation which could be very expensive. Check that the Direct Line policy actually allows you to work as a lot of standard travel policies don't.
also have a look at Nomads Travel insurance which does allow work.
