Travel Ireland With Kids

How much will is cost to travel to Europe?
My husband and I are discussing the possibility of travelling Europe for two weeks next september. We are still just talking about it, but I was wondering if someone could give me an approximent cost.
We live in Australia. We'd like to travel through England, France, Italy and Greece, but maybe spend a day or two in Ireland, or somewhere similar.
We're planning on starting to try for kids after september so it would be our last trip as a childless couple.
Thanks.
P.s Clearly I'm aware that you cant give an exact cost. I'm not asking for that, more just a figure for us to work with.
First the cost, in the main cities in Europe, going for basic and low budget you will still need 200 euro between you, in London about 200 pound. If you can plan to use twice that, that will allow you to go to a decent hotel and eat out in whatever restaurant you fancy.
Your flights and your long distance travel within Europe will come on top of that.
The more you travel the fewer options you will have to go for some of the cheaper possibilities. Like if you arrive in a city just before dinner rather hungry, you go to the nearest restaurant. If you have been walking around in a city all day you will have seen a few restaurants already and can make up your mind whether you go for the cheap option or for the nice dinner.
If you have just one day to see a city you can only do that by doing a city tour and a hasty visit to the main sights. If you have 3 days for the same city you can walk and will have time to work out what the cheaper way of travel by public transport is. If you stay a week you can walk all over and just use the underground to get back 'home' when tired.
Do not plan too much. You say two weeks and you name 5 countries, with traveling time that means two days per country. That is nothing.
For London alone you need more than 3 days, specially if you just arrive.
Make a decision and limit yourself to 2 countries at most. You will lose the first day or two for jet lag, and practical things.
And do not forget that while you can start trying for children, they do not come on command. There are people who get pregnant at first try, but most will have to wait months to years. And with children you can still travel.
Looking at the long time you have to travel and the huge cost of the tickets, I think it is not very good economy to come for only 2 weeks. As you will be in a plane for 48 hours, add to that the time you loose between flights, for the 3 hours check-in time for long distance flights and so on.
