Travel Jamaica Safety

what are some cultural do's and don'ts in Jamaica?
I am travelling to Jamaica soon for a class and I would like to know what are some cultural do's and don'ts in Jamaica? Like do I have to do something? is there anything that I absolutely shouldn't do? I am not talking about safety issues I already know that, just the cultural part. thank you so much
Avoid people who seem too interested as they have selfish motives.
If you have an alternate lifestyle, leave it at home, for your safety.
Do not accept anything from strangers, as they may harbor expectations of receiving something back. Be careful not to be too vocal on controversial topics, politics, sexuality etc
Adopt a "need to know" , mentality for all conversations, avoid giving too much information.
Be courteous, kind and open to new things.
Hope this helps!
