Getting to Kyoto from Beppu, Oita?
I want to travel to Kyoto to see "hanami" this April. Now I'm living in Beppu, Oita, and Im going to buy a ticket to Kyoto fune. Do you have any tips for me? (That map, guide, things to get ready, etc..). I state Japan for a few months
Maruyama Park next to Yasaka Shrine Maruyama Park is the most popular public park in Kyoto to see cherry blossoms. Its centerpiece is a large weeping cherry tree that lights up at night. No Admission fee. Many foods are available. Philosopher's Path From Temple Road Ginkakuji The philosopher is a nice way, and a channel connecting Ginkakuji (Silver Pavilion) with the vicinity of Nanzenji. It is bordered by hundreds of cherry trees. Behind Heian Shrine the main building, a large number of weeping cherry (shidarezakura) standing in the garden of Heian Shrine, behind the main buildings of the sanctuary. The entrance to garden costs 600 yen. Arashiyama Arashiyama northwest of downtown Kyoto is a nice neighborhood on the outskirts of Kyoto. Many cherry trees can be found around the bridge Togetsukyo at the foot of the mountains Arashiyama. Kitaoji Kamogawa station (Karasuma subway line) is the Kamogawa river, which runs through the center of Kyoto. Cherry trees are planted in many places along the River. One of the nicest places to see cherry blossoms and a picnic in northern Kyoto, where the road crosses the river Kitaoji. Daigoji Daigoji Temple Station (Subway Tozai Line) Daigoji is a temple complex in southeastern Kyoto, part of the Kyoto Protocol which have been designated World Heritage Site. A cherry festival flowering takes place in the temple grounds every year. Hirano Shrine Kinkakuji and Kitano Hakubaicho Among One of the most famous hanami Kyoto, Hirano Shrine is also known for the many varieties of cherry trees are in their land. At night, the trees are lit. Outdoor Channel Okazaki Heian Shrine on the outskirts Heian Shrine, Okazaki Canal connects the Lake Biwa canal network with Kamo River. It is bordered by many cherry trees, and popular boat tours are conducted during the hanami season.
