What are the best places to travel solo exotic like a girl!?
I'm studying photography, I have 22 years this year and graduated in 3 months, so I think it would be the perfect time to travel. I've been to places in Europe (I live in England) so I really want to experience a new culture and country. For the moment I'm thinking of Brazil, but everyone I speak to is so negative, otherwise I'd go to South Africa, but that is not possible that the current political and social difficulties the country. I also keep saying that as a young white girl going to have problems, but I would think that is not a problem (some people even think Im mixed race anyway!). I have nobody else to go with all my friends who work or have serious boyfriends and to be honest, I really want to experience it for myself. Any advice for women travelers, or general tips? Thanks x
Www.gapyear.com Try and take a look at the messageboards. I know - South East Asia and Central Asia are ideal, very geared to backpackers / travelers sabbatical. South Africa is perfectly safe at this point, you do not no worries will simply not be walking around cities at night. Brazil could be a little more dangerous than SA, but only if you use the common sense that will be perfectly safe - or you could try other South American countries, Peru, Costa Rica and Chile are very well visited and secure. Try that the website I gave you is a great source of knowledge. Just remember - you should not believe that people who says he is going to be raped and murdered XD, there are more than concerned, but do not let that discourage you - have you ever traveled?
