Trip to Japan. What about electricity?
I'm planning a vacation for 2 weeks in Japan. I am a total gadget freak and is going to bring electronics just me. All of them, I think they are 110-240V or 100 to 220. What if I connect to a 110V product? A friend mentioned that he traveled there with an adapter (2prong to 3 points) and brought a regular power strip. The power strip I have is 125v. Will it work? Any particular product you recommend anyone?
In most areas of Japan is 100v / 50Hz. There are three tooth there. Many U.S. electronics work in Japan. Some do not will. Things like hair dryers work, but it will take longer to warm, or heated. If in doubt, you can buy a transformer sites as Radio Shack, Best Buy or Wal-Mart.
