How to use Canon BJC-85 travel printer?
I was given this printer second hand. I use Windows XP and it says I can't use the IrDA (infrared connection)with this OS. Is this true?
Secondly, the USB port is not rectangular it is more of a trapezoid? (well six sides) Where can I purchas one and what is it called?
Finally, what ink cartridge do I need. I live in Tokyo. I can go to the Canon shop but are there any other options which would be cheaper than there products?

based in the specification the infrared do not work with [IrDA operation is not possible with Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 or Mac OS for this product].
Also it did no mention about XP, i guess because the printer is older than XP, but if in that page you click in the drivers link in the left side menu and then search the printer model there are XP drivers, so i guess you could give it a try installing the XP drivers and see if that work for you.
The USB should work unless the cable you have is not usb.
