What career would be good for these interests?
I am having a really hard time deciding on a major/career based on my interests. I like jobs that involve meeting new people and experiencing new things, especially humanitarian work (I am traveling to New Orleans or to a Native American Reservation in South Dakota for service projects through my school), different religions, and different cultures. I am not good at learning new languages. I enjoy traveling, however, I want a job that I can have a fairly routine life- I don't want to be traveling the world and away from home all the time. I want a stable job that allows time with a future family. Are there any jobs where I can have both?
I'd say maybe an international or even national social worker? You don't necessarily need to learn the language of the place to which you are traveling. You could do things like setting up soup kitchens, education and clean water systems. Programs such as the Peace Corp. might be something you would consider after you graduate (as they only accept applicants with degrees). Good luck figuring it out!
