Travel Uk

I'm looking to travel to the uk on hoilday next year. What great local things should not be missed?
hope to stay near or in london for a week or two, maybe travel around uk.I love music ,art, scenic places, great company. i love to explore new things.
What a choice you have!
Beginning in and around London... for music, there are many wonderful concert halls for classical music, including the South Bank and Barbican complexes where you can also hear live music free in the lobbies; and the Coliseum and Royal Opera House for world-class opera.
If you prefer other kinds of music, how about jazz at Ronnie Scott's in Soho or the 100 Club in Oxford Street (or scores of other places) -- see here: http://www.jazz-clubs-worldwide.com/docs/london.htm ... Rock, pop and anything else you care to mention all have homes here: visit http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/home/?ito=1639 for details of forthcoming gigs.
Art. Well, the National Gallery (masterpieces from Da Vinci to Titian and the Impressionists), the Tate Modern and Tate Britain (Constable, Turner and fantastic contemporary artists) are just some of the major galleries which cost nothing to visit. More details here: http://www.visitlondon.com/attractions/culture/major-art-galleries
Scenic places -- too many to do more than scratch the surface. Kenwood House on Hampstead Heath (with outdoor concerts on summer evenings -- take a picnic!), the Houses of Parliament (book a tour), the Royal Observatory and Maritime Museum at Greenwich, and the gorgeous Tudor Hampton Court Palace (the last three places are all beside the River Thames -- do take a boat trip on the river while you're here.
Great company? Trickier: but there are all kinds of lectures, talks and meetings of societies where you would meet like-minded people ... buy a copy of Time Out magazine when you arrive and check events.
Travelling the UK... well, you could (and should!) visit Edinburgh and Glasgow, Scotland's two most wonderful cities, plus the lochs and highland moors if you enjoy wilderness and walking. In Wales, St David's is one of the UK's most beautiful cathedral cities (and one of its smallest); and Caernarfon and Conwy boast two of our finest castles.
Back in England... York and Bath are two cities that just drip history (both have ancient Roman roots).
And what about some of the great English gardens? Stowe, Hidcote, Sissinghurst, Kew, Lanhydrock ... (more info here: http://www.greatbritishgardens.co.uk/ )
Oh, you'll have such a wonderful time... bring spare memory cards for your camera!

Beats Rhymes & Life $5.55 Tribe's fourth album, Beats, Rhymes, and Life, should be the awkward one, the album on which the group, growing up, falters a little as it figures out what it's going to do next. It isn't. Marked by a number of changes, both internally (this is the album on which the Ummah production crew takes over, and it also marks Q-Tip's new religious faith) and externally (by 1996 Quest's jazzy approach to h... |

Hanna-Barbera's The Greatest Adventure Stories From the Bible: The Creation In the land of Nod, just east of Eden, a master storyteller relates the story of Genesis. He tells of the spirit of God moving over the waters, of the creation of all plants and animals, and of their naming by Adam. He tells of the creation of Eve. Then Adam and Eve disobey God's command and eat of the forbidden fruit. For their disobedience, God expels Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden. To the... |
